There's just something about the bayside! Wynnum is home to our newest studio, and we've discovered it's one of those suburbs that gives back the more you get to know it.

So we thought, who better to show you around than someone who actually lives here? We asked our lovely local client Rayna to share the spots she and her partner (and their gorgeous dog Harlow) find themselves at week after week. Consider this your insider's guide to the best of Wynnum!

Meet Wynnum local Rayna

Hi, I'm Rayna, a local here in Wynnum and one of the PPF Wynnum studio regulars. Here are a few of my favourite spots around the bay!

Coffee: our two favourites!

For a coffee after Pilates, I love heading to Mad Mile. It's super close to the studio as well, so I often wander over for a coffee after class.

Our other favourite is Frankie's Coffee Bar on Fox Street. My partner and I are regulars on the weekend, when we take Harlow for a walk down to the water and stop in along the way.

A cocktail or two at The Shed

For a cocktail or two on a weekend, The Shed on Bay Terrace is a great spot to visit. It's relaxed, it's right by the bay, and it's just the place to unwind with friends when the week is done. Being dog friendly is an added bonus too, so Harlow never has to miss out on the fun.

Italian around the corner at Olivera

Just around the corner in Manly, Olivera is fast becoming a favourite restaurant of mine. It serves up some delicious Italian food.

Fish and chips by the water at the Manly Boathouse

For dinner down by the water, my partner is a big fan of the fish and chips from the Manly Boathouse. We often make an afternoon of it on a Sunday, sitting down on the grass along the Esplanade with our dinner as the day winds down.

Farm-fresh finds at the Jan Powers Manly Farmers Markets

For farm-fresh fruit, you can't go past the Jan Powers Manly Farmers Markets, on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month along the Esplanade. They have everything you need to stock your fridge for the week, and there'ssomething really lovely about buying straight from the people who grew it. It's a simple way to eat well and support our local farmers at the same time.

A walk along the Esplanade

Honestly, you can't beat a walk along the Esplanade, whether in the morning or the afternoon. It's also a wonderful spot to bring the kids, with the playground and the wading pool that's an absolute lifesaver come summer.
