Our Coorparoo studio turns six this June, and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than by shining a light on the incredible people who make this community what it is. Because what makes our Coorparoo studio so special goes beyond the studio walls, it’s the after-class coffee and chat at the local cafe, or having your brows done by your reformer buddy. So, for our 6th birthday, we’d like to celebrate six Coorparoo clients who own local businesses, giving us another space to catch up after class.

A Wellness Space with Michelle from Ova Acupuncture
Outside of her Pilates class, Michelle is supporting patients through every season of life with her integrative women's health clinic, treating a wide range of needs including fertility and endometriosis. Her multi-practitioner team works together to help patients restore balance to the body and support their natural healing processes through acupuncture, cupping and Chinese herbal medicine. They're also big on empowering patients with education and helping them be a key driver in your journey, so visiting Ova can feel just like a warm hug.

A Pilates Gear Space with Nikki from Luster & Wave
Nikki's love of Pilates is what sparked the creation of Luster & Wave. After years of searching for the perfect grip socks that could move with her on the reformer, stay comfortable through long hospital shifts and still look stylish, she decided to make them herself. Creating all the designs by hand and searching to find a manufacture that actually cares about the quality and life of the socks, we can confirm Nikki's socks look and feel just as good at your post-pilates catch up as they do on the reformer.

A Food Space with Essie from In A Pickle
After joining our Coorparoo studio as a client, Essie became such a consistent part of our community that she decided to undergo the PPF instructor training. While she is now at the heart of our team as an instructor, we all benefit from her culinary side when she brings along a cake or platter to staff events. Similar to her Pilates journey, Essie started catering for friends and family out of a passion for good food, and when the word spread and demand increased, she opened her beautiful cafe, In a Pickle. We can confirm, In a Pickle is the perfect space for an after pilates lunch or catch up.

A Beauty Space with Kimmy from Spray Tans Coorparoo
Being able to duck across the road to our Coorparoo studio around client bookings to fit in her Pilates classes, it's no wonder Kimmy became a part of our PPF community. Starting as a small maternity-leave passion project, she wanted to create a relaxing, safe and inclusive space that allowed all women to feel comfortable during their spray tan. And her salon embodies that energy, as a safe haven where you can go to treat yourself and feel great. Our PPF team love popping over to get that natural looking glow that Kimmy does so well.

A Fashion Space with StyleFast
Through our wonderful Coorparoo client Vikki, we discovered StyleFast, a women's fashion boutique in Camp Hill that has since become a staple in our community. They really make an effort to help every woman feel welcome and confident. With caring staff like Vikki there to offer support or suggest options you may not have considered, StyleFast has become our space to unleash a little playfulness and self-expression.

A Pampering Space with Kym from Olli Skin
Remember the reformer buddy we mentioned at the start? That's Kym, who has been a faithful member of the PPF community for years, and her salon, Olli Skin, is the natural next stop after class. Outside of Pilates, Kym has created a place to breathe, be looked after, and leave with your cup refilled. Olli specialises in skin health, brow artistry, and lash lifts, so you can touch up or revamp your self-care routine. It's the kind of place that reminds you that looking after yourself is always worth it.

We are so proud to be celebrating our 6th birthday in the neighbourhood, and hope these businesses help you discover more of the incredible people and spaces that make our Coorparoo community so special. Thank you all for being such a brilliant part of the community that makes up PPF, and we can't wait to see you on the reformer.
